Jen and John {Alexandria, VA}

My shutter speed was around 1/60 of a second, and yet look at all of the romance this single photo possesses... love it!

Here is a sweet slide show from my uber fun photo session with these two lovebirds... and be sure to take note of their endearing dog Bear, who loves himself a little stuffed pony.

Don't forget to leave your kind comments :) Just as a reminder, at the end of March, the slide show with the most comments wins a free 8x10; and I haul a tall stack of canned goods to my local food bank. Click here for more details.

Jen & John {sneak peek}

Washington DC was very very good to me. Now that I am back in New York, I'm busy editing my two DC photo sessions. This image from Jen and John's shoot caught my attention.

Take a look at Jen's gorgeous eyes peeking through her hair. Aren't they a cute couple?

I'll be posting more soon.

January 20, 2009 {Yes I Did}

On our way to the Inauguration, my sister and I walked across a bridge via Georgetown. Although the sun was not up yet, when I saw the Washington Monument in the distance, I knew it was going to be a great day!

This is a three generational family that traveled from Tampa, Florida to witness this historic day together. I just love this photo!

I don't know exactly how many people gathered in DC, but it was a lot! I'm exhausted, and it is hard for me to tap out profound words at this hour, but the day was awe-inspiring. People were dancing, singing, praying, crying, and we saw thousands of smiles!

I just love the Washington Monument!

Road trip with Mom {Washington D.C.}

Despite the very cold weather, on Saturday, my mom and I packed her car up for a road trip to Washington DC, where she will spend a few months with my sister Noele.

I think Sunday's brunch, at this super yummy french cafe, is a good indicator that my Mom and sister are going to have a great time this winter. Here is Noele and my mom... I'm loving the family fun on this trip!

spreading the word {for the cure}

I recently became familiar with the work of Emilie Somner of emilie inc. She is not only a stellar photographer, but an inspiring community leader as well. So it is with great honor that I announce that I am a "Wedding Photographer Sponsor" for her breast cancer awareness organization called Pink Initiative.

The exciting news for engaged couples is the generous raffle the Pink Initiative is offering! From now through Valentine's Day, you can purchase a raffle ticket to win a $5,000.00 wedding photography package by emilie inc. Now that is what I call paying it forward!

We are all hoping to find a cure to this nasty disease, so be sure to click on the ad below to buy your ticket, and help emilie inc. campaign for change!
